Intruder Dates payload: extend functionality to include times

Jon | Last updated: Dec 17, 2015 07:21PM UTC

The helpfulness of this payload when fuzzing a date/time parameter is automatic handling of the wrapping of values back to 1 when appropriate (i.e., avoid March 32nd). Extending the Dates payload with time components (down to 1-second resolution) would be logical and helpful to handle the wrapping of hours, minutes, and seconds.

Thanks for this request. Perhaps a good option would be for us to provide a new payload generator just for times. Then people can generate times only when needed, or combine with the dates generator when both are required. We've captured this request in our backlog, but can't currently promise an ETA for it, sorry.

Thanks for the reply. Having a combined payload with both date and time together would be more useful than separate because then it would easily allow iteration of date/times that span date boundaries. That would be difficult to implement using separate payloads.
