Clear scan queue

Mithun | Last updated: Jan 08, 2016 09:08AM UTC

Hi, I am trying to delete a few items from the Scan queue tab in Scanner. But there was is no option to do so. Options on right click or the menu bar do not provide a way. How can I delete the items in the scan queue? I am using the pro version # 1.6.32. Thanks, Mithun

Please note that the items I am trying to delete have not been scanned. Although there is a way to hide items after scanning, there seems to be no way to delete items before scanning?

HI Mithun Thanks for your message. You can't delete items completely because they might result in deferred Collaborator interactions that mean Burp needs to report issues for them. You can cancel them and select the option on the context menu to hide finished items, and they will be hidden from view. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi Liam, I see. Thanks for the alternate option of cancelling and hiding the item. I'll try that, the only problem is that if there are too many items, doing this manually becomes tedious. Thanks anyway for your quick response. The only thing I can request is that you try to decouple the functionalities of deleting the scanned items and that of the collaborator interactions. This is just an idea I am throwing out there! Maybe the source of items for the collaborator can be from a different location, which will then allow the user to independently manipulate the scan queue. Regards, Mithun

Hi Mithun Thanks for your reply. Selecting multiple items and cancelling them should involve exactly the same manual effort as selecting multiple items and deleting them, so I just wanted to make sure you'd followed that suggestion.

Hi Dafydd, You are right! Although, I was referring to some feature by which you could make multiple selections and delete them all with one deletion request. Thanks for your help though. I did the exact way you guys have suggested and it works well. Regards, Mithun

Thanks for this feedback. We'll look into adding a more functional filter option on the active scan queue at some point.

We need more function on the Hidden option for example: Hide Cancelled Item Hide item by Severity Hide Finished items Something there is a loot of items and it will be great from UX perspective have the way see and works only with items you need to. Thanks!

Hi Newgen, Thanks for reporting this. We are aware of this issue, and we plan to address in a future update. In the meantime, choosing "Hide finished items" from the context menu with Scan Queue will usually work around the issue.

I observed that burp gets slower the more scan jobs I remove "in bulk" from the scan queue. This becomes unbearable slow until burp stops responding. Is this a known bug?

Hi, will be nice add some more on the Hidden option, extending Albert Torres list to: Hide Abbandoned too many errors . thanks

Hi Gourav, Are you using Burp 1 or 2? In Burp 2 this area has been massively redesigned. We're unlikely to make functionality changes to Burp 1 now, although we will fix major bugs like security issues. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

I feel Hide cancelled option should be available soon as scan queues gets filled if we run this multiple times and we need to clear it off. Currently the option is not available
