options/ssl menu fails to load upon restore if client certificate

Vida | Last updated: Mar 24, 2016 08:58AM UTC

We are working as a small team and my colleague gave me his saved burp state. I restored it in my burp instance mostly without problem, but the options/ssl tab fails to load properly. The site we are testing requires a client side ssl certificate, we suspect, that the certificate's different paths on the two computers cause the error. He uses windows 7, I'm on debian. We're both using the latest java (jre1.8.0_73) and burp pro (1.6.39).

Thanks for this report. Just to be clear what you are seeing when you say the SSL options fail to load properly. Do you just mean that the configured certificate which cannot be reloaded has been removed from the list? Or is there some other problem?

The SSL tab is active, but its content is not rendered (the content of the previously selected tab remains visible). The proper controls appear on "mouseover".

Ok, thanks for the update. Would you be able to post/email us your debug ID (at Options / Misc / Performance feedback) and we'll investigate whether we have any errors captured for your instance of Burp? Thanks.

I've just sent the debug id via mail. One more observation: by dragging the scroll bar on the right side with the mouse, the proper tab content shows up.

Thanks for the further detail. We've identified the cause of this problem and will work on a fix shortly.
