A big problem.

In the command prompt, you are supposed to type java -jar -Xmx2G /path/to/burp.jar but when I typed it and hit enter, it said 'Error: Unable to access jarfile /path/to/burp.jar' In the file I downloaded, there is no jar file either. I downloaded multiple times and still nothing,

You need to replace /path/to/burp.jar with the actual location of your Burp JAR file. If you don't have the JAR file then something went wrong with the download so please try again.

I am having the same issue. Why are they making this so hard to use and launch the application?

We recommend you use the Burp Installer for your OS (Windows / Linux / Mac) as this lets you start Burp without using the command line.
