new burp configuration saving

hi, New burp has new feature to select project and configuration while starting burp and I am not being able to use properly. In the past , it was easy, i used to change/ add my proxy port, edit some settings as default and every time start it used to load it. Now im not getting that. each time i have to make my changes after starting burp. I tried saving user option and even project. But i am getting either blank settings or not being able to import .json format file in it. I think I am lacking knowledge on how to do use it right. Can you guys point to documentation that clarify new burp usage? If this is a bug, then please let me know. thanks

Here is some help on the new way of handling project options: https://portswigger.net/burp/help/options.html http://blog.portswigger.net/2016/04/introducing-burp-projects.html In brief, project settings are automatically saved with your current project. Reopening the same project will restore those settings, unless you override them in the project startup wizard. Project settings are not shared between projects, so a new project won't have the same settings as your last one. If this is what you want, save a project config file from your last project (using the Burp menu), and start a new project with that config file (or later reload it via the Burp menu).
