SQLiPy plugin, no start button for sqlmap tab

Aidan | Last updated: Aug 22, 2016 11:54AM UTC

OS: Kali Linux 2.0 Software versions installed: jython 2.7.0 Burpsuite 1.7.04 Java 1.7.0_79 SQLiPy 0.5.0 Issue: When trying to use the SQLmap plugin for Burpsuite with the above installations the "start" button doesn't appear in the SQLmap scanner tab rendering the plugin unusable. Issue was reproduced on colleague's machine with the same setup as well as on Burpsuite version 1.7.03.

Hi Aidan Thanks for your message. This issue has been reported by a number of users. We've also managed to reproduce the issue ourselves. BApps are not written by the Burp team, but by third parties. Have you tried contacting the author of the extension? - https://twitter.com/codewatchorg

Hi Liam, Thanks for the response, I'll go hound the guy now. Kind regards

We're aware of this issue, which is a bug in a recent release of SQLiPy. Their latest version fixes it, and we'll be updating in the BApp Store soon.

I don't have an answer, but I was curious if a resolution had been identified. I'm also seeing this issue at the moment with a substantially similar setup to Aidan's.

Experianced the same thing but found out an solution. Download the latest SQLiPy version here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/codewatchorg/sqlipy/master/SQLiPy.py Save the file to your computer and then install it manually in Burp: 1) Under 'Extender/Extensions', click 'Add' 2) Under 'Extension Details', choose extension type 'Python' 3) Under 'Extension File', browse & select your newly downloaded and saved sqlipy.py file 4) Click 'Next' and then 'Close' when finished 5) Restart Burp & you should now have a SQLiPy tab with a functional 'SQLMap Scanner' and 'Start' button
