Hi Gourav Thanks for your message. Have you followed the steps in our Support Article? - https://support.portswigger.net/customer/en/portal/articles/1841101-configuring-an-android-device-to-work-with-burp Would it be possible to provide a screenshot of Burp's proxy listener settings and the proxy settings on the mobile device?

Hi Portswigger, i'm facing the same problem. first time i used burpsuite with android it was working fine but after 2 3 days when i wanted to use again it wasn't working/intercepting android traffic i reinstalled burp's certificate in android also i checked pc's ip and listening port but both are correct still not intercepting any application. my android model is SM-J120H 5.1.1 lolipop.

You could try configuring Android with ProxyDroid and FS Cert Installer to push HTTPS App traffic to Burp Suite. One of our users created a short video on the process: https://vimeo.com/137672482 They also provided these basic instructions. Burp Suite Host: • Reset burp suite • Turn on listen to all interfaces Android Host: • Remove all User Certs • Stop task and remove data for ProxyDroid and FS Cert installer ( you can just uninstall reinstall ) • Put the phone in airplane mode then turn on WIFI • In FS Cert put in proxy IP and PORT then click the middle button Add CA and add it under WIFI Cert in the dropdown • Then click test chain and it should all be green yes for www.google.com • For Proxydroid just put in the IP and port and also tunnel DNS • Kill or reinstall any apps before you start to make sure they go through the proxy properly

It is possible that the FS Cert Installer is not compatible with your version of Android. Have you tried contacting the authors of the app?

i don't have much time to contact authors of app. well you could test yourself in any 5.1lolipop android device. im just looking for an easiest way to use burpsuite with android. any other way?

Sorry Zain, we don't have the same device and OS. We're not aware of any other means of making this process easier.

Just disable firewall and any antivirus. And then you see traffic in burp.

Ben, you could try downloading the certificate on another device / system and sending it to the phone?

Having exact same problem with Samsung S6 Followed instructions on portswigger guide Went to http://burp in Android browser and it doesn't load page to download certificate and certificate exported from laptop also doesn't work.

Just remove and reinstall the burp certifcate and also reinstall the testing apk.

Hi The video was created by another of our Burp Suite users some time ago now, I'm afraid it looks like it's no longer available. Which version of Android you are using and what steps you have taken so far? Do you see any errors?
