Bad view in win10 when zoom 150%

Den | Last updated: Jun 10, 2017 11:04PM UTC

I use 150% zoom (win10 config for screen) on my 13.3" laptop. And Burp Suite looks badly, all fuzzy.

We've tested the 150% zoom setting on Windows 10 and not encountered the same issue. Have you tried updating to the latest version of Oracle Java?

jre1.8.0_131 installed in my laptop I can't attach screenshot to this thread/ I hope the link is still available: http://prntscr.com/fiz2x0 Pay attention to the display of text in other windows

I agree, the text is fuzzy on your system. It works fine on the Windows 10 VM that we tried. Can you do two more things: 1) Tell us your exact graphics card and driver version. Be aware that some systems have both an integrated and discrete GPU. 2) Try running another Java app with the same zoom settings. Is the text similarly fuzzy?

1) Intel HD Graphics 620. Driver - Intel Corporation 21.20.16.4541 2) I have tryed JMC and yes, it is fuzzy too

Hi Den, Thanks for the further information. Could you try this suggestion from Stack Overflow: https://superuser.com/a/1207925/255133 Also, are you using the platform installer, or the standalone jar? Try using the other one. Let me know how you get on.

I used installer - burpsuite_free_windows-x64_v1_7_23. After disable zoom when hi resolution it looks clear, but to small font size. There is a variain with -Dsun.java2d.dpiaware=false but like it does not work with java 8. And I have tryed jar-file, it looks like disable zoom - too small font size.

Hi Den, Sorry you're having continued trouble. One other workaround is to increase the font size within Burp. Run the jar file so that zoom is disabled. Then go into User options > Display and set the font sizes to be larger. I've created a story on our backlog for the development team to look at this some more.

Thanks User options > Display - this helped

Thanks for sharing these settings Glenn.

Not sure if this is related, but I had a bunch of windows 10 scaling issues between my 4k and normal screens, particularly when trying to drag between them. After some terribly long amount of messing around, the settings i've ended up with (and seem to help) were: start javaw -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -jar burpsuite_pro_v1.7.23.jar Hope it helps someone.

No Code is required, just select "Application" instead of "System" at the last step of this thread: https://superuser.com/a/1207925/255133.

On my Windows 10 there is a scaling factor of 1.5 which made Burp look to big for me. This command from folder where burp is installed worked for me: jre\bin\java -Dsun.java2d.uiScale=1 -jar ./burpsuite_pro.jar It set scaling factor to 1 for Burp which is perfect for me.

Hi I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the display. Could you tell us a bit more detail on what you see and your setup so we can take a closer look, please? it would be useful to know the following: - The version of Burp are you using. Do you use the installer or the JAR file? - Which parts of Burp look fuzzy/don't display very well? - What graphics card and driver version you have

Adding -Dsun.java2d.uiScale=1 to the BurpSuiteCommunity.vmoptions file in installation directory worked for me!
