Scanner Timestamps

Harris, | Last updated: Sep 21, 2017 02:19PM UTC

There is a need (I am sure we are not the only ones) to include Timestamps with each scanner result. Having a timestamp included for each result in the scan report would make the found vulnerabilities much easier to trace through the application and server logs. Is this an enhancement that's on the way? Perhaps I am missing something in the tool, but I have not found anything (settings/help, etc.) that would indicate that timestamp functionality is present for the Scanning tool.

Hi Glenda, Thanks for the suggestion. That sounds like a good idea. The time stamp is available on the Issue Activity tab, but not in other places. I've created a story on our development backlog and linked your support case to that. It may be some time until we get to it, and we'll let you know when we do.

Was there ever any update on this? Currently using the latest version of Burp Suite Pro and I still don't see this option implemented. I'd love for the Reports to include a timestamp on each issue/result for easier data analysis and comparison to logs.

Thanks for getting in touch. We have just replied to your other forum post. Can we check if this is information you'd just want to see in reports, or would you also want to see it in other areas within Burp?
