Load saved project from within Burp

Hello, It would be nice to have the ability to load a saved project without having to exit Burp and restart it. Are there any plans for implementing such functionality? Thanks, Anthony

We currently have no plans to implement this functionality.

Can you give some information on why there are not any plans for this functionality? I feel this would be very useful to myself and others.

Hi Anthony, Thanks for following up. Implementing "open project" would be a little tricky technically, due to the way it's designed. Also, we think the benefit of this is minimal as it's not a big deal to quit and restart Burp. A related feature that we have recently worked on is Import Project. That lets you load the data from another project into the current project.

Hi Anmar, As noted above, there were some implementation and design decisions made (prior to Burp projects being a thing) that mean adding this kind of functionality would be difficult and would actually be quite a large amount of work. It might be something we revisit at some point but, for the near future at least, this is not something that we have any plans to implement.

Agree, this is basic functionality. Serious oversight and disruptive to a seamless UX. Considering this was thread was originally raised over three years ago, it's about time cycles are allocated to correct some poor design decisions made early on.

Hi Scot, We do now actually have a feature request recorded for this functionality so I can certainly record the interest from this forum thread to that so that we can monitor the demand. If we have any further news to share about this then we will update this thread.

Hello, I just want to add my vote to develop this basic functionality. I think that we all are thinking of this but no always taking time to find a way to do it. (In my case I just google minutes ago it after some years of use)
