Server configurations requirement for Burp suite Pro

Hi Team, We would like to use Burp suite Pro to run the source code scan for web application. But we are not sure to calculate how much size of hard disk is required to run VA / PT and RAM requirement and OS requirements. Please guide me Best Regards Srini

Hi Srini, Thanks for getting in touch. Burp's resource usage can vary greatly depending on the application being tested. We would recommend running it in a test environment and measuring the resource usage. As some very rough figures I'd recommend 16gb RAM and 100gb free disk space. Burp can run in less, and testing very large applications will take more - but that's some rough figures to start from. You mention using Burp to do a source code scan. Be aware that Burp is primarily a DAST tool that scans a running application. It only does limited source code analysis. Still, it servers the same goal of helping to secure your application.
