When trying to install Burp I get an error that the download file is corrupted.

We've investigated this issue and have reproduced the problem on Mac OS Mojave. There seems to be a problem with mounting the .dmg file. As a workaround you can use the .jar version of Burp on Mojave. Alternatively, you can mount the file using the "hdiutil attach" command: Downloads liam$ hdiutil attach burpsuite_pro_macos_v2_0_06beta.dmg Then run the installer. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

I got an error when downloading file to install. "the file you opened has some invalid characters. if you continue editing this file you could corrupt this document." can you help?

Could you send a screenshot of the error message to support@portswigger.net. Thanks.

Priyanshu, what issues are you having with the installation process? Have you checked out our "Getting started with Burp Suite" support pages? - https://support.portswigger.net/customer/portal/articles/1816883-getting-started-with-burp-suite

I'm installing the Pro version for Kali2019(3) and downloaded the linux .sh version, not the JAR and am getting the same error as the folks above: ""the file you opened has some invalid characters. if you continue editing this file you could corrupt this document." I am running Kali on a MacBook Pro, not a VM, but as the primary OS with a dual boot option to run MacOS if I hold down the Alt key. I verified the SHA256 checksum and it matches. So, I'm getting the shell file you have posted.

Hi Knox, Are you executing the shell script from the command line and seeing this error?
