Do you have a corporate proxy or firewall as part of your system?

You can configure Burp to use an upstream proxy server: - https://support.portswigger.net/customer/portal/articles/2363078-burp-suite-options-upstream-proxy-servers Let us know if this helps.

Even though burp is installed, we don't see any way of BAPP store is not list in the newer version from 1.7.34. version , i don't understand the above which may resolve our existing issue. Can you tell me the prerequisites steps to be involved in avoid the interruption of plugins load,

Yes, the first step is to try adding your corporate proxy as an upstream proxy. If this doesn't work, could you run a collaborator health check and forward the results to support@portswigger.net. The check can be found at Project options > Misc.

Even when using the Upstream Proxy, the bapp store does not show any apps.

Hi Tyler, what do you have your destination host configured to on your Upstream Proxy rules? This will determine if the proxy settings are used for communication with Burp Suite for downloading BApp extensions.

I am also facing the same problem. I have configured the upstream proxy with destination *. BApps tab is not listing the extensions. version: Burp suite community edition V2.1.04

Hi Irfan, does your upstream proxy allow communication to portswigger.net on port 443?

I have same problem. Proxy is set for * and I can browse but BApps tab is empty. I receive Failed to update BApp list. I'm using Burp Suite Community Edition v2022.9.5 It seams proxy settings are not used in BApps tab :-( What can I do?

Thanks for your message. If you click on the 'Refresh List' button on the Extender -> BApp Store tab, what error is displayed? Do you also see errors if you go to Help -> Check for updates? Are you able to connect to https://portswigger.net directly from your machine when you are not using Burp, or do you need to use a proxy?

Tomaz | Last updated: Nov 09, 2022 01:12PM UTC

I receive: 'Refreshing' and a second later 'Failed to update BApp list.' If I go to Help->Check for updates I receive: 'Unable to check for updates due to network error. Please check your network configuration and try again.' I'm behind a corporate proxy server. I don't have direct access to internet. In users options->Upstream Proxy Servers I have put our proxy server and I can surf the internet with integrated browser. Are there any different settings for the program itself to use proxy settings? Why doesn't it use "Upstream proxy Servers" settings? Do I have to put proxy settings somewhere else for the program itself?

Thanks for the update. There is just the one place to set the upstream proxy server settings in Burp Suite Professional. Depending on how your corporate proxy handles HTTPS connections you may need to ask for https://portswigger.net and https://portswigger-cdn.net to be whitelisted. Can you check the following to see if you can download and install BApps manually, please? - Browse to https://portswigger.net/bappstore - View the page for the BApp you want to install and choose 'Download BApp' - On the Extender tab within Burp click on Manual Install and select the BApp file you have just downloaded.

Thank you for your fast reply! Your solution is acceptable to me. :-) Somebody else will have to ask for this "new" feature. I can confirm Manual installation works and I could install one extension I needed. Anyway, I think that such a good product like this should have this integrated by default.
