Disable content type changes

Christian | Last updated: Nov 21, 2018 11:15PM UTC

I'm having an issue where Burp is unable to proxy a site, on further investigation it appears to be a result of Burp rewriting the content type from 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded' to 'application/json'. I'm on an active pentest and can't find a way to prevent this from happening, burp even shows in the proxy history that it modified the original request, once modified the website responds back with errors and I'm unable to properly spider and proxy it, or create requests that work correctly with repeater or intruder. The most frustrating part is that I don't have the problem when using ZAP.

Have you set any Match and Replace rules? These rules can be found tab Proxy > Options tab. You can use the configuration option to reset these rules to default. Let us know if this helps.

I don't have any match rules set, I've tried resetting them all to default as well though.

Could you send us some screenshots of the request and responses?
