How to proxy Burp Enterprise to use Logger++ in Burp community or Pro

chandraveer | Last updated: Nov 27, 2018 10:45AM UTC

Hi, Can we set up a proxy with Logger++ in Burp Free or Pro versions to keep track of the scan running in Burp Enterprise? Essentially, can we observer some concrete logs created by Enterprise, similar to what we usually see in case of Burp Pro while scanning using extension Logger++.

Chandraveer, we've tested this and it works. You'll need to save you upstream Proxy settings in a Project config file rather than a User config file. Then load the file when you start a scan in Enterprise via the Scan configuration options. If you have any issues creating the file, email us at support@portswigger.net.

Liam, could you please provide some references of details about the configuration of Logger++ with Burp Enterprise? Thanks in advance.

1. Install Logger++ in Burp Pro or Burp Community. 2. Open another instance of Burp and configure the instance running Logger++ as an upstream proxy via Project options: - https://support.portswigger.net/customer/portal/articles/2363078-burp-suite-options-upstream-proxy-servers (It's important you configure this via Project options and overwrite User options.) 3. Proxy some traffic through you upstream proxy to check the config. 4. Use the configuration icon next to Upstream Proxy Servers to save your json file. 5. When you start a new scan in Enterprise, load the json file via Scan configurations.
