How do I install Burp Suite Enterprise Edition from command line?

Dean | Last updated: May 09, 2019 04:28PM UTC

Hello, I am trying to install Burp Suite Enterprise from the command line. The server that will be running it is on a virtualized server that has no ability to do a GUI install. Is there anyway to do this through CLI?

Dean, which platform are you using?

I am also curious about this as well. I'm personally running Ubuntu

On linux the process is straightforward. You just need to run the script with the "-c" argument, e.g. sudo ./burpsuite_enterprise_linux_v1_0_15beta.sh -c

Ok thanks. How do you do the initial configuration though (choosing enterprise and web server, choosing whether to install agents, ports numbers, etc.)? How can this be done without a GUI?

The "-c" should run this in console mode so the GUI should not be invoked. The initial configuration process should take place on the command line. Are you still seeing the GUI when you run this command?

On linux the system is easy. You simply need to run the script with the "-c" argument, e.G. Sudo ./burpsuite_enterprise_linux_v1_0_15beta.Sh -c. You can see the full solution here.
