Hi,

Is there any way of making a proxy port change persitent across sessions?

Thanks!

Thanks for your message.

This is saved in the project options configuration file. There is some info here about how to save and reload this in Burp:

You can either specify the file during the startup wizard, or using a command line argument.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you! So isnt there any way of changing the proxy port at the USER configuration level? Do I need to change it for every project? To me (and many developers I guess) 8080 is the default port for many application servers and servlet containers (eg: tomcat, jetty, etc.)

Unfortunately the default port can only be currently set at a project level, however a few users have asked this question so I have created a request for this feature. We will notify this thread if it becomes available.
