Have you just upgraded to Kali Linux 2019.4? Are you able to navigate to "Help -> Diagnostics" and tell me what your java runtime version is? Failing that, could you tell me what version of Java your system is running?

Same here, running Kali 2019.4 with JRE 11.0.6-ea. Impossible to use, just pink screen.

WORKAROUND: use lower version of Java now before they fix it. Run #java -version to see active version; #update-alternatives --config java ; you will see installed versions; choose the 8 version by entering 2; Enter; #java -version; to see active version. It should be 8 or smt NOT 11. Then start burpsuite #burpsuite& ; Works for me.

FYI, I had the same problem (pink Burp windows over VNC). Switching the VNC color depth from 16 to 24 solved the problem. https://imgur.com/a/xSIBjAE
